The Fish! Philosophy
In 2005 we re-branded our business focus and were introduced to a book called ‘Fish!’ by our C.E.O., Simon Murphy. It illustrated four key concepts of customer service that engaged us so immediately that it felt as if we had always worked this way.
‘Fish!’ is based on the unique approach of the staff in the ‘Pike Fish Market’ in Seattle and how they have made their workplace not only productive but also fun. The fun is generated through focusing on these principles, spontaneously, in everything we do.
The four simple concepts are:
- Make their day
- Play
- Be present
- Choose your attitude
Fish! has now become a core part of who we are and we ensure it is always a core topic within our new staff induction programme.
We also believe this working ethos has been a core reason for the success which Jenrick has received in being ranked 6th in the 2009 Sunday Times Top 100 Small Companies to Work For and 3 Star Best Company Awards for 2008.
