IT Helpdesk Support - 20K+ - Woking
We are a looking for a IT Helpdesk Support analyst with good Windows support skills. The role will require an element of field work within the South East so own transport is essential. We are looking for a engineer to join our team of 3. The role will be based in Woking but covering West London/Surrey to cover, London, South England with occasional trips to Wales.
IT Support Engineer Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a complete range of IT support to end users. The role will be a rough 50/50 split between manning the helpdesk and visiting our branch offices. This will include basic desktop support, ADSL issues and end user support, hardware break/fix as well as dealing and learning about more advanced server & infrastructure issues with an eye to building skills for the future, for example migrations and disaster recovery.
It will be your responsibility to research and co-ordinate a response with the rest of the team, as well as accurately logging calls and responding to tickets and researching solutions to issues. With common and recurring issues you will be invited to look at solutions to these issues.
This a chance to participate, learn new areas of IT and shape the growth of an expanding company with an excellent industry reputation, as well as building your skills with VMware, Windows Server, MPLS and some of the latest technologies on the market.
You will be expected to be friendly and build your relationship with internal and external customers you deal with in your day to day work.
Essential Skills required;
* 2years' experience in IT Business Support.
* Windows Server 2003 and 2008.
* Microsoft Office 2003-2010.
* Full UK driving licence essential.
Desirable skills;
* Active Directory working experience.
* Some Windows SBS 2003 & SBS 2008 experience desirable.
* Some Exchange server 2007 and 2010 exposure.
* Excellent communication and people skills are critical.
