Job Description:
Service Delivery focused Manager / Research Services Group Leader required, with outstanding people management and line management experience, to work for a global organisation in Kent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for leading a team who are responsible for the service delivery of scientific informatics into the company.

You will lead a team of 10-14 direct reports, made up of a mix of information science specialists, computational sciences, technical implementation and support staff.

This role combines Line Management and business liaison skills, with a technological awareness that enables the delivery and support of high value informatics products and services.

Overall your responsibilities include - ensuring operational, financial, technical, strategic, talent management and performance management goals and objectives are met within the team.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

*Extensive Line Management experience in IT or Healthcare, preferably within a pharmaceutical environment.
*Proven people management experience and the ability to build high performing teams, through recruitment and retaining staff.
*Business knowledge in the research, scientific technology arena and an ability to interface with research customers.
*Able to interact with all levels of management.
*Degree level education or equivalent.
