Job Description:
The main responsibilities of the Linux Redhat support analyst are:

 Provision of Environment and Application Support during testing phase
 Creation of deployment and configuration scripts
 Create documentation and procedures for the deployment of s/w applications to test and production environments
 Deploy s/w applications to the Production environment
 Perform diagnosis of support issues escalated to the team
 Prepare and implement system and configuration changes to compensate for faults and failures found during testing
 Specify and create the system test and production environments
 Assist others in the handling of support/project issues
 Be available to perform the support function at agreed hours (occasional outside of normal office hours including weekends)
 Review and comment on business requirements, functional specifications, designs and other project documentation specifically with an eye on supportability and operational aspects
 Communicate effectively with development teams, system test and project managers
Essential:
* 2-5 years experience of application support/maintenance in a similar environment
* Competent in the use of RedHat Linux and Windows 2000/2003/2008 operating systems
* Scripting Language skills for the above platforms (e.g. Korn/Bash shell, perl, …)
* Good working knowledge of RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows system administration including troubleshooting techniques
* Analytical and Diagnostic skills
* Professional and proactive manner dealing with all project sponsors, users and technical staff
* Experience of implementation processes within a pressurised environment
* Understanding of the application software development process in a PRINCE 2 Environment.
Understanding of ITIL is also a strong advantage
