Tim completes London to Brighton Bike Ride in aid of The British Heart Foundation - 2008
On Sunday 16 June, Tim Crosthwaite (Business Consultant) from Jenrick CPI completed the Britsh Heart Foundation, London to Brighton bike ride with teammates from his Sunday league football team, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
They set out at 8:30am, they hit pretty serious congestion throughout the ride, "it took us 2 hours to ride 18 miles from our starting point and there was an accident which brought us all to a 25 minute standstill.
We took our first break at about 12.30, to enjoy a bowl of paella and a pint of beer, then after lunch we rode solidly making the most of the quieter roads, to make up some lost time.
I managed to cycle to the top of Brecon Beacon without needing to stop, which was an achievement in itself.
We arrived in Brighton around 2:15pm, a total of 5 1/2 hours to ride 54 miles, the organisers had advised it was an average 7 hour bike ride and as we had been delayed enroute we were all pretty chuffed - thanks to everyone who sponsored me!"
Tim raised over £300 for the British Heart Foundation.
Well done Tim!!
