Oracle DBA - Production environment - Essex - LM33580R_9866

Job Description:
Oracle DBA required to work for a daily paying agency onsite at our client in Essex. This is a 10 month contract and we are looking for candidates that can be available at short notice ideally, who have excellent production environment experience. You will need to have experience of several hundred Oracle database instances and large numbers of applications, so your experience will need to show large portfolio expertise.

Within this role you will be required to :
*Troubleshoot Oracle production environments.
*Provide in-depth direction related to DBMS features and to assist project teams.
*Ability to address complex database issues
*Pro-actively monitor performance of the production systems
*Investigate, review and recommend adoption of new features and utilities.
*Upgrade / Patch DBMS

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

*Oracle 9i and 10g
*RMAN
*Data Guard
*OEM
*Unix and/or Linux operating systems.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

*OCP certifications
*RAC
*Oracle 11g
*Oracle reports Server
*Conversant with Windows Operating System
*Shell Scripting.
