Perl and VB6 Developer / Support.
We are currently looking for a Perl and VB6 Developer / Support Engineer to work on a permanent role based in Belfast. You will be working in a up and coming centre of excellence within the Financials industry.
For 6 months you will be based in London while training and you may be required to travel to Paris, after 6 months you will then be based permanently in Belfast.

Job Purpose
This role would suit someone who has worked in a varied support/development role using Perl and Visual Basic and is looking to expand their skill set to include the following software products:
BMC Patrol, Smarts, Voyence, Dorado, DDM, OVPI, Perl and Visual Basic.
The candidate will be responsible in providing first & second line support for these tools and they will be expected to develop, test and deploy changes for these tools.
Key Accountabilities (Once training is complete)
Create from scratch complex patrol KM's
Write and support complex multi-threaded Perl scripts.
Software upgrades to third party software products which includes Patrol, OV PI, DDM, Dorado, Smarts & Voyence.
Software upgrades to in house monitoring solutions and to follow standard development and change control processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
4+ years multi threaded Perl scripting and Visual Basic 6
Must be able to work in a support & development environments and follow development and change control processes.
Training will be given on the other products depending on the team's requirements
