Senior Test Specialist (API testing & Equities essential) - London - LM33899_5723

Job Description:
Senior Test Analyst required to work for a dynamic organisation in London, specialising predominantly in the Equities arena. In this role you will be responsible for leading the testing activities associated with future enhancements to the systems.
This is a permanent position paying up to £60K + Benefits and as a MUST have for this role, we are looking for candidates that have API testing and messaging protocols and also FIX Implementation experience.
(This role is a mix of technical and business, so you will need to have a mix of both).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assisting the Head of Systems Quality in Ensuring that quality standards are maintained and system releases are fit for purpose before entering the live environment.
*Define test strategy for verifying system changes
*Produce and maintain test documentation, including but not limited to: Test plans, test progress reports, other documentation in support of the definition of the testing process.
*Day to day management of the testing process.

MUST HAVE:
*Experience of API testing and messaging protocols
*FIX Implementations highly advantageous.
*At least 5 years of experience in software testing with at least 3 years in Financial services: Stock exchange or within an investment bank (Equities experience would be ideal, however happy to consider derivatives experience or Fixed Income experience).
*Degree level education, with an ISEB Certification.
*V-Model test methodology experience
*Experience of designing test automation strategies
*Competent with writing simple updates, inserts and deleting commands in SQL.
*Good working knowledge of Unix Shell.
*Quality Centre experience.

You will need to be highly technical, with strong analytical and execution skills.
