Job Description:
Our client a prestigious financial organisation require a Test Analyst to perform testing and general quality assurance activities for trading and post trading systems.
The role will entail systems analysis, development of test strategies, test generation and execution, issue reporting and tracking, test planning and reporting.
Responsibilities;
* Test plan development for front to back transaction processing and risk reduction.
* Test case development and management.
* Test case execution and results analysis.
* Issue reporting and tracking.
* Interfacing with development teams, support and infrastructure staff and business users.
* Functional, performance, regression and recovery testing.
* Project management (QA.)
* Data validation using database querying tools.
* Functional test automation for interface and business components.
Skills required;
Required
* 3 years minimum working in QA or Development testing for investment banking or brokerage.
* Test management tools for functional testing, test planning, test cases development and execution - i.e. Mercury Quality Center or Test Director, Rational, Compuware.
* Experience automating complex GUI interfaces with Mercury Quick Test Professional.
* Issue reporting and tracking preferably with tools such as Mercury Quality Center or Test Director, PVCS Tracker, Compuware TrackRecord or Bugzilla.
* Working knowledge of capital markets; particularly in Fixed Income and/or Equities trading, reporting and settlement.
* Basic SQL, basic UNIX skills.
* Basic project management skills and experience including estimation.
* Working Knowledge of system architecture including the following technologies: Client Server C++, .NET multi-tiered SOA, Business Intelligence Systems (data enrichment.)
* Experience in testing, monitoring and planning for functional and performance scenarios, capacity testing, industry benchmarks and performance SLA's.
